Authorised representative in France

Since 10 July 2026, a producer not established in France must appoint, by written mandate, a representative established in France (Article L. 541-10-9-1, Environmental Code). The mandate is signed with our French entity, currently in registration; mandates are signed with it on issue. It holds your eco-organisme membership under the mandate and files for you.

What the law requires

A written mandate with a representative established in France, who is subrogated in your obligations.
Membership of an approved eco-organisme for each EPR stream you place on the market (packaging, electricals, batteries, textiles, furniture, toys…).
A unique identifier (IDU) per stream, shown to marketplaces and on your terms of sale.
An annual declaration of what you placed on the market, and payment of the eco-contribution.
