Authorised representative in Germany

Since 12 August 2026, a producer with no establishment in Germany must appoint an authorised representative for its packaging (PPWR Article 45(3), VerpackDG § 5). We are named as your representative in LUCID and take on the duties for you.

What the law requires

Registration in the packaging register LUCID. It stays in your name; the representative is named in it.
A written mandate with the representative (VerpackDG § 5(4)).
Participation in an approved dual system for packaging that reaches private final consumers.
Yearly volume reporting to LUCID and the dual system.

The flat fee does not rise with your volume. Dual-system licence fees follow your kilograms and are passed on at the system's own rate, with no markup. Representation in Germany is performed by EPRGermanyRep GbR under its own terms at eprgermanyrep.com/terms. Electricals and batteries are separate regimes: ask us for a quote. All prices excl. VAT.
