Resources / Answers / Where EPR applies

Does one EPR registration cover all EU countries?

No. Packaging EPR registration is national: one register, scheme and number per country you sell into.

No. The EU Packaging Regulation (PPWR) sets common rules, but producers still register in each member state where they make packaging available, in that country's register, and join that country's scheme. Each country gives its own number: LUCID in Germany, an IDU per EPR stream in France, the ENV number in Spain, a CONAI membership number in Italy. A representative is also appointed per country: a Spanish or Italian representative registers you there and nowhere else.

What you can do once is the groundwork: describe each product's packaging (material and weight) once, count your orders by delivery country, and let one provider file each country's registration and declaration from the same figures. That is what EPR EU Rep does across the EU and the UK.
